To human vision he is the little babe born in Bethlehem, and the savior who healed the sick and raised the dead. To divine vision he is the Christ-awareness in all space and in every atom. You should aspire to know that Christ within you.

A very blessed Christmas to you, and to all of Paramahansa Yogananda’s worldwide spiritual family and friends! I pray that your heart and spirit be uplifted by the vibrations of peace and joy that are radiating from the heavenly realms during this auspicious time of year.
Centuries have passed since Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem; yet the teachings and example of this ever-living avatar of divine love still radiate their soul-liberating power, inspiring souls in all corners of the world with universal precepts of moral courage, compassion for all, and God-centered living. If we put ourselves in tune with that grace and power, we will know that greater even than the miracles of bodily healing performed by Jesus during his earthly incarnation are the spiritual transformations he continues to create.
Our revered Guru has assured us that Jesus is working with Mahavatar Babaji for the regeneration of humanity into a new age of enlightened consciousness. Together, they have given to the world the Kriya Yoga teachings of Self-Realization Fellowship by which we can prepare the cradle of our own consciousness for the birth of the Christ Child of infinity.
Gurudeva once said, “We think of the baby Jesus as helpless in his crib…yet within that tiny form was the Infinite Christ, the Light of the universe.” That all-pervading Christ Consciousness which is throbbing in every atom of creation has the power to illumine our lives and heal the world.
How can we actively partake of this great Christmas gift for humankind? By absorbing into our being the kindness and inclusive Christ-spirit that Jesus expressed, and the humility that leaves no need for worldly recognition or exclusive self-centeredness, and the all-forgiving love that kept him inwardly untouched by enmity amidst the severest of trials. And, as Paramahansaji taught us, through communion with God in the interiorized stillness of meditation we can experience in the deepest way the expanded consciousness of love, light, and infinitude that is the real Christmas, and let it overflow into our outer lives.
I send you my heartfelt prayer that the true spirit of this holy season — the ever-living spirit of Christ and the Great Ones — fill your heart and home now and throughout the New Year.
