Janmashtami Three-Hour Meditation With SRF/YSS President Brother Chidananda

Each year Self-Realization Fellowship celebrates Janmashtami — the birth anniversary of Bhagavan Krishna, India’s beloved avatar whose teachings are enshrined in the Bhagavad Gita. This joyous annual celebration falls on August 16 this year.
We are happy to announce that on Saturday, August 16, SRF/YSS President Brother Chidananda will lead a special Janmashtami three-hour meditation livestreamed from the SRF International Headquarters in Los Angeles. During the meditation the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India monks’ kirtan group will be joining Brother Chidananda via livestream from India for periods of devotional chanting. (Please note: Participation in this event will be via livestream only, and the video will be available for viewing after the livestream.)
This special meditation will be conducted in English, and simultaneous interpretation will be available in German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. To hear simultaneous interpretation during the live event please see the instructions below the video.

To access simultaneous interpretation:
Simultaneous interpretation will be available (only during the live event via Zoom) in German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. To hear the service in one of these languages:
- Join via Zoom (during the live event). We suggest joining a few minutes before the start of the event.
- Click the “Interpretation” button in the toolbar at the bottom of your Zoom window. (If you do not see that option, click the “More” button and then select “Interpretation” from the menu that appears.)
- Select a language from the list.
- Once the service begins, you will hear simultaneous interpretation in the language you selected.

Commemorative Services in SRF
In Self-Realization Fellowship, certain commemorative services are conducted throughout the year to honor the enlightened gurus in the SRF lineage.
The teachings of SRF are founded upon the original Christianity of Jesus Christ and the original Yoga of Bhagavan Krishna. The spiritual lineage of SRF consists of these two great avatars and a line of exalted masters of contemporary times: Mahavatar Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, Swami Sri Yukteswar, and Paramahansa Yogananda (last in the line of SRF Gurus).
