This opening class for the 2022 Convocation begins with SRF/YSS President Brother Chidananda officially opening the Convocation, welcoming all in the name of Paramahansa Yogananda, and leading a prayer invocation to bless this week of spiritual renewal.
The class, given by SRF Vice President Brother Vishwananda, focuses on how — in this turbulent world with its engrossing challenges — we can discover a common denominator of calm, wisdom-guided understanding and positive outlook, to enable us to turn even the most stubborn obstacles into a lighted pathway to spiritual success.
The pathways of life are strewn with obstacles that can cause us to stumble or momentarily lose direction. Similarly, on the path toward Self-realization, to walk steadily upon life’s unpredictable journey back to the Divine, the seeker must be able to see, analyze, and use every challenge as a stepping stone for soul unfoldment.
