Maintenance Level 4

Position Summary

Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, primarily in the areas of plumbing, painting, and electrical.  Responsible for inspecting and troubleshooting buildings and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. 

Responsibilities

• Perform general repair and service work required of a plumber, painter, and electrician.
• Additional tasks include general remodeling and construction.
• Appliance and equipment repair on washing machines, dryers, toasters, fans, kitchen equipment.
• Maintain and repair heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems.
• Test, inspect and maintain fire and security systems.
• Requisition new supplies and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs of various projects.
• Perform function of lead worker as requested.
• Maintain a clean job site and shop.
• Other position-related tasks, as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of eight to ten years demonstrated successful background in building maintenance and working with contractors.
• Background and experience primarily in plumbing, painting, and electrical.  Other desired experience include carpentry, HVAC, appliance and equipment repair, locksmith work, security systems, cement work, flooring, welding, and computer knowledge.
• The ability to serve as a resource to others and resolve questions, problems and some details of the work under minimal supervision.
• The ability to perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent SRF adequately when dealing with the public.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs desired.

Additional Details

This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. PST.

The work location is in Pacific Palisades (90272 zip code). Local candidates only please.  No reimbursement for relocation costs offered for this position.

Pay range: $25.00 - $32.76 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
