Digital Press Operator

Position Summary

The individual in this role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our HP Indigo 12000 seven color press and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate, and maintain expertly the HP Indigo 12000 Digital 7 Color Press.
• Must be able to work with barcodes, 2D codes, and all printing marks and instructions in order to work with the automation of the presses, mailing inserters, and cutter programs and machines.
• Operate a Heidelberg Polar Cutter, as needed.
• Must be able to operate the forklift and reach trucks.
• Responsible to follow SRF’s policies and established processes.
• Other position-related tasks, as assigned.

Requirements

• Training on an HP Indigo Press and certification from Hewlett Packard.
• Thorough understanding of printing in 4 colors as well as working with PMS spot colors.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent SRF adequately when dealing with the public and commercial vendors and technicians.
• Ability to function well in a multi-task environment.
• Ability to honor and maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and lift 40 lbs. A high level of machine maintenance skill and ability is required.
• Certification for forklift and reach truck is required.

Additional Details

This is a 40 hour per week position, Monday through Friday.

Pay range: $21.00 - $26.50 per hour.
