Brother Santoshananda, a monastic disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda for nearly 68 years, passed away peacefully at the Self-Realization Fellowship Mother Center on Thursday afternoon, September 24, 2026.
He will be remembered by countless members of Self-Realization Fellowship for his dedicated service over many decades at SRF temples and through his numerous visits to meditation groups in Europe, South America, North America, and other locations throughout the world.
A memorial service will be held for him in the coming weeks, after which a fuller account of Brother Santoshananda’s life will be added to this post.
At this time of his transition into the blessed realms of divine light and bliss, please join us in prayers for our dear Brother Santoshananda. We send him our love and gratitude for the goodness and spirit of joyous service with which he inspired all who crossed his path.
