Below you will find a very moving — and practical — 10-minute excerpt from the talk “The Kriya Yoga Path of Divine Living” by SRF/YSS President Brother Chidananda. That talk, which was released in June 2024 as part of SRF’s weekly inspirational services series, was given in 2023 at the Yogoda Satsanga ashram in Ranchi while Brother Chidananda was visiting Paramahansa Yogananda’s ashrams in India.

As Brother Chidananda expresses at the beginning of this video, his goal is to share with all “an enhanced and ever-vibrant, ever-increasing enthusiasm for what Gurudeva [Paramahansa Yogananda] has given to us.” One critical aspect of that effort, Brother Chidananda explains, is convincing us that we, too, can take an inspiring story about the striving and fulfillment of a devotee of a previous generation and consciously turn that into a highly effective spiritual tool — a “devotional invocation” that gives us a personal experience with the power to totally change our lives.
