Position Summary
Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of Volunteer and Youth Services Management Systems and related platforms, ensuring scalability, high performance, and alignment with organizational goals. Lead cross-functional projects and vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery and compliance. Facilitate clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment of technology initiatives with SRF’s mission and strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Knowledge of and experience with SRF principles and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of technology management experience, with a proven track record of leading and managing cross-functional development teams.
- Strong background in software development practices and methodologies, with extensive experience managing development lifecycles, leading cross-functional teams, and optimizing development processes for efficiency and quality.
- Extensive experience in evaluating and guiding software architecture decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability, with a strategic focus to meet long-term organizational goals.
- Solid experience in project management, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC tools (e.g., Jira) is essential.
- Strong understanding of security standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for data integrity, application security, and risk management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders, provide clear project updates, and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to address complex technical challenges.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for quality assurance, testing, and software delivery processes.
- Proven ability to mentor, inspire, and manage teams, including recruitment, role definition, and fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture.
- Strong initiative, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing competing priorities and adapting to changing organizational needs.
- Experience managing CRM systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) and knowledge of relational and document-based data management principles is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide technology leadership and support for the volunteer operations, internal departments, and volunteer programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational efficiency and scalability.
- Lead development of the Volunteer and Youth Services Management Systems (Microsoft Dynamics CRMs with 3rd party integrations), and a suite of SRF and VLD websites and portals.
- Develop project charters, define project scope, and apply business and systems analysis methodologies. Evaluate 'build vs. buy' options to ensure alignment with project objectives, and validate proposed solutions for feasibility and effectiveness.
- Drive the solution architecture and optimization of applications, ensuring they are scalable, high-performing, and maintainable.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives for Volunteer, Youth Services, and other SRF programs, modernizing operations and enhancing services for members.
- Ensure applications comply with regulatory and security standards, implementing measures to safeguard sensitive data and maintain data integrity.
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution, ensuring projects are completed within budget, meet defined objectives, and that risks are proactively identified and addressed.
- Manage third-party vendors relationships through regular performance reviews, feedback loops, and maintaining high standards of accountability and service quality.
- Oversee technology budgets, evaluating and approving investments in technology, including third party software and services.
- Ensure strong governance and risk management practices related to technology, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and objectives.
- Support digital workplace initiatives and IT processes that enhance volunteer operations, including change enablement, service requests, and identity access management.
- Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and providing regular project updates to keep all parties informed.
- Lead and develop volunteer technology teams, structuring roles, and recruiting, mentoring, and empowering volunteers to contribute.
- Fostering a culture of collaboration, engagement, and spirit of service to support SRF’s mission.
- Collaborate closely with SRF Digital Services to ensure alignment of technology strategies and seamless integration across systems and initiatives.
- Responsible to follow SRF’s policies and established processes.

Additional Details
This is a full-time, salaried-exempt position; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PST.
The position is remote for those residing in CA, CO, TX, AZ, VT and VA.

Pay range: $108,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year depending on skills, experience and education.
