Position Summary

  • Planning & Building Department is responsible for planning, designing, and constructing multiple major capital and non-capital construction projects.
  • To guide design and construction teams through the complexities of a phased delivery process on simultaneous construction projects.
  • Other position-related tasks, as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • The day-to-day project management of capital and non-capital projects.
  • Meet with intended project users to establish and refine user requirements and other project development criteria.
  • Guide and assist project teams through phased project delivery process covering the project development, project design, contract document preparation, agency approvals, construction administration, project closeout and post evaluation phases.
  • Prepare and develop the project scope, budgets and schedules.
  • Participate in and facilitate project meetings.
  • Manage and direct the architect, the various consultants, the general contractor, and other support personnel as may be necessary.
  • Assist and support other PBD project managers in project managing the projects for which they have primary responsibility as may be necessary.
  • Honor and maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
  • Responsible to follow SRF’s policies and established processes.
  • Other position-related tasks, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with contract administration.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in project management with multiple users.
  • Ability to read, understand and implement construction contracts, plans, and specifications.
  • Experience in tracking project budgets and schedules and reporting variances.
  • Ability to manage and lead in a complex group environment.
  • Interior design experience.
  • Good people skills.
  • Well organized and systematic work habits.
  • Computer literacy on Windows platform.
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Procore
  • Display initiative and self-direction while at the same time being cognizant of and respectful to direction and guidance from upper management
  • Knowledge of and experience with SRF principles and standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent SRF adequately when dealing with the public.
  • The ability to function well in a multi-task environment.
  • The ability to lift up to 15 lbs., sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.

Additional Details

This is a full-time salaried exempt position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PST. Nevertheless, you must be able to work a flexible schedule based on workload and deadlines.

The position is hybrid. The work site is in Pacific Palisades and other Southern California locations. Local candidates only please.  No reimbursement for relocation costs offered for this position.

The selected individual must satisfactorily complete our background investigation.

Pay range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on skills, experience and education
