“In the Embrace of the Divine Mother” by Brother Chidananda (video)

May 07, 2024

We present here an excerpt from “Living in the Sacred Presence of the Divine Mother,” a talk given in 2017 by Brother Chidananda, president of Self-Realization Fellowship/Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (SRF/YSS).

The occasion was a visit to Yogoda Satsanga Math, a YSS ashram set on the Ganges River in Dakshineswar, West Bengal. Brother Chidananda was making his first trip to India as spiritual head of Paramahansa Yogananda’s society. His visit was made even more special by the fact that YSS was in the midst of a yearlong celebration of its centennial.

Brother Chidananda describes his impressions upon arriving at the ashram and feeling there the presence of God as the Divine Mother. He then leads the audience in a visualization of the loving presence of Divine Mother to help “banish the darkness of delusion” from their lives and the world at large.
