We invite you to watch an inspiring interview with Brother Chidananda, president and spiritual head of Self-Realization Fellowship/Yogoda Satsanga Society of India, conducted at the YSS Noida Ashram during his visit to Paramahansa Yogananda’s ashrams in India in the winter of 2023.
This 17-minute interview was part of the Dharma Sandesh (“Dharma Message”) program on Sanskar, a popular Indian television channel based in Noida focusing on spiritual topics, and was released on July 29, 2024, on Sanskar TV’s YouTube channel.
Brother Chidananda explains why yoga and meditation are essential for finding balance and fulfillment in our fast-paced modern world, and the profound effectiveness of practicing the Kriya Yoga science for realizing the divinity within ourselves — and thereby recognizing it in everyone.
Please note: The interview begins with a short introduction in Hindi by host Neha Sarvesh Shukla. Before introducing Brother Chidananda she addresses her audience with the words: “Yoga has two aspects: physical and spiritual. Yoga introduces us to ourselves, helping us to know who we truly are. We are not just a body, nor a mind; we are much more than that. This may be something we haven’t realized before. Let’s take the time to understand ourselves today, and find out what yoga is, what meditation is, and how they are connected to spirituality.”
As well, the title on YouTube is presented in Hindi and English. It translates as “What Is Yoga? Learn From Sri Sri Swami Chidananda Giriji Maharaj on Dharma Sandesh/Sanskar TV.”

Yes chaos is a good discription of life not in synch with God. Yoga teaches us how to link our consciousness to the source of our being: peace, love, joy, wisdom, thru God's own organized plan for us, rather than just following our individual whims & worldly influences. No matter where we are in our spiritual evolution any effort we make is healing. We need God more than all the worldly things we chase after!
