Worldwide Prayer Circle: Prayers for Venezuela and All in Need

Following the recent earthquakes in Venezuela, our hearts go out to everyone affected, including those who have lost loved ones, those still waiting for news, and the families, friends, communities, and first responders supporting them.

In moments like these, when so many are in need of comfort, strength, and healing, coming together in prayer can offer solace — to those who are hurting, and to all who long to help.

As we keep in our hearts the people of Venezuela — and everyone in need of peace and healing — we invite you to participate in Self-Realization Fellowship’s online prayer service, an activity of the Worldwide Prayer Circle. These services help us to concentrate our individual efforts through the dynamic power of group prayer.

This tradition of healing prayer was begun by Paramahansa Yogananda, who established the Self-Realization Fellowship Prayer Council of monks and nuns who pray daily for world peace and for all who have requested prayers for body, mind, and soul. He often expressed the wish that their healing work be augmented by the prayers of Self-Realization Fellowship members and friends in every land, creating a spiritual union of sympathetic hearts — a worldwide circle of prayer. Since the establishment of the Worldwide Prayer Circle, the prayers offered by participants all over the world have helped to create a growing tide of divine power, encircling the globe with harmony, goodwill, and peace.

We hope you will help to strengthen this healing tide with the soul force of your prayers. Together, we can help send powerful vibrations of healing and upliftment to a world in need.

Whether you are new to prayer and meditation or have a longstanding practice, all are welcome.  Learn more about the Worldwide Prayer Circle and how to take part in an online prayer service:

Jai Guru! I echo the sentiments expressed for the people of Venzuela and all the courageous rescuers and volunteers aiding them! Praying also for a better era for them as they recover from this huge, calamitous and drastic catastrophe. What an incredible concept Guruji brought in the Prayer Council and Worldwide Prayer Circle!! It gives me such joy and upliftment to participate in it! I don’t know how much good my prayers do for others, but it surely greatly helps and blesses me to pray for them. Jai Gurú!
