“The true state of the Self, the soul, is bliss, wisdom, love, peace. It is to be so happy that no matter what you are doing you enjoy it.”
— Paramahansa Yogananda
Would you like to know how to experience the bliss, wisdom, love, and peace of the soul? Paramahansa Yogananda taught that each one of us can discover it within — through the practice of yoga meditation. And he would often point out how our individual spiritual efforts can be greatly helped by being in the company of like-minded seekers of higher consciousness.
The Self-Realization Fellowship Convocation was established in 1950 by Paramahansaji to provide such seekers with an opportunity to gather together in a spirit of joyful fellowship and practice the meditation techniques and principles for balanced living he brought to the world.
He envisioned that through this immersive program of events, those seeking spiritual understanding could learn how to realize the divinity within themselves — and infuse their daily lives with the perpetual happiness of the soul.
A transformative weeklong program — offered free of charge
Convocation gives you all the tools you need to begin experiencing real balance in your life — whether you are choosing to attend in person or online.
Through inspirational talks by SRF monks and nuns on spiritual living, classes for SRF Lessons students on the techniques of meditation, guided group meditations and kirtan (devotional chanting), and pilgrimage tours to sacred sites associated with Paramahansa Yogananda’s life and work — all in the company of thousands of like-minded souls — this free weeklong program has the power to transform your outlook on life. At Convocation, you can discover more of the infinite potential that is waiting within you.
This year’s Convocation renewed my faith, softened my heart, brought me back to the stillness, and reminded me of the eternal joy within — and, that love, love is always the path.

Many ways to participate
There are multiple ways to experience Convocation — depending on what fits best into your schedule. You can attend all or some of the in-person program in Los Angeles, join livestreams of the events online, or follow along at your own pace by watching recordings after the live events.
Or you can participate by viewing online events with others at one of the gatherings to be held at SRF centers and meditation groups worldwide.
SRF monks and nuns will also visit select cities in Europe, North America, Oceania, and South America during Convocation week to lead inspirational talks, meditations, and other activities, and to participate in online Convocation events with local SRF members and friends.
My heart is full of the joy, peace, and contentment from participating online this past week with devotees from around the world. The love and joy could be felt from our television into our hearts, and peace surrounded our home.

Will the Convocation App be active this year?
Hello Meena Advani - thank you for your question. For 2026 we will have a new event website that will be accessible from convocation.yogananda.org. More information on how to access it will be sent via email closer to Convocation. (The Convocation app is no longer in use - you can go ahead and remove it from your device.) All the best!
Im so excited. I don’t know what a convocation is, but Im interested to find out!
My wife and I will gratefully be joing from our home in Denmark! It is a blessing beyond words to be able to take part in the Convocation experience without having to travel. A couple of decades ago we attended the in-person Convocation several times and can attest to the fact that the spiritual vibrations of the online Convocation are precisely the same when the attunement is there. Thank you to all the monastics and volunteers who make this event possible! Jai Guru!
I attend the Fullerton Temple when able. As a senior with a few physical issues the online attendance is wonderful. Love connecting with devotees from around the world, the expanding family! ❤️
