This month marks the 100th anniversary of Paramahansa Yogananda’s founding of the International Headquarters of Self-Realization Fellowship — lovingly referred to as the Mother Center — atop Mount Washington in Los Angeles on October 25, 1925. Paramahansaji established this location as a training center for SRF monastics, and the administrative center for disseminating worldwide the ancient science of Kriya Yoga.
During a service held at the Mother Center in 1936, he prayed: “Heavenly Father….bless us that through our love for Thee we make Mt. Washington a heaven on earth…. May a portable heaven be established in the breast of each one who comes here to seek Thee.”
Special Livestream With Brother Chidananda
We are happy to announce that Brother Chidananda, president and spiritual head of Self-Realization Fellowship/Yogoda Satsanga Society of India, will give a special talk celebrating the 100th anniversary of the SRF International Headquarters on Saturday, October 25, at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Time).
This special event will be livestreamed from the SRF International Headquarters in Los Angeles. (Please note: Participation in this event will be via livestream only, and the video will also be available for viewing after the livestream.)
While the event will be conducted in English, we are very pleased to share that simultaneous interpretation will be available in German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. In addition, subtitles in French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish will be added to the video as soon as possible after the event.
