Qualifications and Experience
College degree required, preferably in Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications with an emphasis in Social Media.
1-3 years’ experience in public relations/digital communications/social media.
Initiative, creativity, and excellent communications and writing skills required.
Knowledge of yoga and spirituality a plus.
Excellent time management abilities in order to work within deadlines and time constraints.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, social media management software, social media platforms.
Fluency with social media strategies and analytics, as well as organic and paid social media campaigns.
Video and photography skills preferred.
Knowledge of Nationbuilder, and SEO skills a plus.
The ability to function well in a multi-task environment.
The ability to honor and maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
The ability to represent SRF adequately when dealing with the public.
Coordinate all SRF social media platforms.
Develop content for all SRF social media platforms, including the curation of content from existing SRF publications and from relevant/appropriate sources outside of SRF.
Create all visual components of posts for SRF SM platforms.
Shoot photographs, as needed, as well as video editing for posts.
Respond to comments on SRF social media sites.
Handle administration and maintenance of SRF’s film website, including screening requests from theater exhibitors, the media, websites, bloggers, academia, conference / festival organizers, etc.
Develop Facebook advertising campaigns and implement on an annual basis to build reach.
Provide, where appropriate, donation links within our social media posts.
Create bi-weekly analytics reports detailing activity and engagement for each SRF social media platform.
Monitor comments to all our social media posts and work with response management team to comment in timely and appropriate manner.
Monitor the social media activities of like-minded organizations.
Responsible to follow SRF’s policies and established processes.
Other position-related tasks, as assigned.
This is a 40 hour per week position, Monday through Friday
