With the increasing pace of today’s world, we all need to have time to reflect on the purpose of our sojourn here, and to seek ways of bringing greater meaning, peace, and happiness into our lives. The Convocation offers a wonderful opportunity to set aside pressing daily responsibilities and to join Self-Realization Fellowship members from all over the world in immersing your heart, mind, and soul in God. The strength and wisdom that will enable you to cope with whatever challenges you may face lies in deepening your relationship with Him.

At each Convocation it is an inspiration to see how those from all cultures and walks of life are earnestly seeking Him and have been drawn to Paramahansa Yogananda’s universal teachings. A special blessing is felt when devotees of God come together, united in devotion and resolve to seek Him. We realize anew that we are God’s immortal children, and that we are not traveling the spiritual path alone. The week of Convocation is a time to drink from the fountain of inspiration in Guruji’s teachings and to draw strength from the shared experience of God’s love and joy. Returning to daily life with increased awareness of Him, we can reflect in a greater way His goodness and compassion to all we meet.

I hope that many of you will be with us for Convocation, and know that God’s blessings flow out as well to all who join us in spirit.
